There is nothing like the Hunters Lodge. I always imagine that most English pubs were like this in the fifties. I asked for some chips (crisps for the Brits) at the Bar and was asked if I thought "the place was a Bl**dy Restaurant" LOL
The beers are all real ales, and served warm.
In Fairness it does serve some basic food Items, Like Faggot and peas, which is nicer than it sounds. There are usually a whole bunch of cavers there at the weekends, but sometimes the Folk music crowd will get the washing boards out, and hammer out some jigs. Legend has it that Bob Dylan visited the place back in his Sixties heyday. Also there is a cavern right underneath the pub!! If you are in the Area don't miss it.

The Hunters lodge pub is a step back in time. The old style pub is located in Priddy on a crossroads. Priddy is about 7 miles from Wells Somerset. This pub is very old fashioned and rustic. The pub serves some truly amazing ale and beer alongside some very simple and traditional food. The pub offers parking and a real open fire in every room. There are also old games to play like shove hatme and table skittles. Pop in the Hunters Lodge for a step back in time! Untouched by time! The barman is a very friendly bloke called Roger. He is the owner and runs the pub with his wife. This pub attracts cavers and proper county folk!
